To Martha’s Family, I was very sad to hear of Martha’s passing & at such a young age! We worked together at Pal-Mac & I enjoyed her sense of humor, admired Martha for doing what was best for kids & her intelligent approach & determination to complete any task she was given! I will smile when I think of Martha! All of you are in my thoughts & prayers! Love, Sandi DiCicco XO

I was both shocked and saddened to read of Martha’s passing today in the paper. (Yes, I am one of the few subscribers to the print edition so the D& C!) I knew Martha through the monthly meetings of the PPS Directors, and through the general business of school district dealings with special ed issues. I always looked forward to our monthly meetings, as I found her to be knowledgeable, gutsy, and very funny. And she had the conviction to stand up to the Ivory Tower State Ed officials at those meetings. I admired her strength and courage. If our lives are truly measured by the impact we have on others.....then Martha truly had an impact on mine. We were not close friends. We were not even close acquaintances, really. But when I saw she had passed I felt an extreme sadness followed by very fond memories -of the times frozen in time- that she inspired me, made me laugh, and gave me courage to continue the “fight” for our kids with special needs. To her sons, I offer my sincere condolences. Your Mom raised you to be stronger than you ever knew you would need to be. My prayers go out to the entire family.

I was so saddened to hear of Martha's passing. I was fortunate to work with her at Pal-Mac and E. Irondequoit. In her career Martha touched so many students lives. She truly had a positive impact on these children and their families. Martha will always be remembered for her compassion, sense of equity and of course, her quick wit. Though we hadn't seen each other in years, my time with Martha will always be a fond memory.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of mu Mu sister, Wedge Ann Blum. I am one of the “Adirondack girls” mentioned in her Obit. Martha is one of the kindest, most generous people I have ever known. It was a privilege to know her. We had many laughs, cups of coffee, and wonderful times together. She will be forever missed. I will send my thoughts to her every day. Mary Ellen Blanchard aka-Pepe.

We were shocked and saddened to hear that Martha passed away. Martha was a bridesmaid in our wedding almost 38 years ago and I remember her infectious laugh and that smile! We lost touch over the years yet, I will never forget her. To your entire family, our deepest sympathies. Rest In Peace sweet Martha.

My deepest sympathy to the Fraver and Blum families on your loss. Martha was the most kind, compassionate and intelligent person I have ever known. She shared her gifts willingly and lovingly with those in need of a shoulder to cry on, encouragement, or a pat on the back. An incredible sense of humor, an endless supply of amusing stories, and her laughter shall make her passing even more difficult. Rest In Peace my dear friend.

Peter, Brian, Jason and families, there are no words to describe the pain of losing such a loving and caring woman like Martha. My heart goes out to all of you and she will always be in my heart. She wanted to be with Bob and they are walking on a beautiful beach holding hands now. Peace and love be with you.

Rest in Peace Martha. You were a great boss, but an even better friend at work. You did so many good things for people. Condolences to all of the family after such an incredibly hard span of time. Take solace in each other and eventually, in your fondest memories of your parents and grandparents. Hugs to you all.

Bryan, Thank you so much for sharing about your mom. I taught with her at St.Agnes in Avon when she started her career. We had many great times together in our early years. She was so sweet and kind and loving. Unfortunately we went separate ways and lost connection. Sending you and your family prayers and love. Bonnie Roberts
