Obituary of Cyril J. Plasschaert

Cy Plasschaert age 91 of Rochester passed away on March 4, 2021 at Hildebrandt Hospice. Cy was predeceased by his wife, Christine and daughter Amy Bauer. He is survived by his beloved, Dolores Schmidt; daughters and son-in-law, Donna Plasschaert; Deborah (Walter) Williams; Grandchildren, Christine (Robert) Young; Kate (Joel) Saulsbury and Kara (George) Fadden. Four great-grandchildren, Grace and Hope Young; Elliot Fadden, and Birdie Saulsbury. And all the members of the Schmidt family.

Cy was Retired from Eastman Kodak with over 30 years of dedicated services. He was a member of St. Margaret Mary's Church and Men's Club for over seventy years. Cy was a member of the St. Paul Volunteer Fire Departrment, and Past Commissioner, member of the St. Paul Exempts and will be always remembered as St. Paul's F. D. most famous Santa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 11AM in St. Margaret Mary's Church. Interment wiil take place at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the St. Paul Blvd. Fire Dept. in Cy's memory.
