He is survived by his loving wife Janet, beloved niece Kim (Jeff) Yates and great-nephew Roman, brother-in-law, George Klingler, sister-in-law Marlene Franzese, his cherished friends and his pet Boston terrier Nugget. At a young age his voice was discovered. He was assigned a teacher from the Eastman School of Music to train Santo as a tenor and create that perfect pitch. Although he didn't continue to sing as he grew, anyone that knew him back then said he was a prodigy. Santo was a Hot Rod fancier and would jump at the moment to cruise around in his. He was also a great cook and loved trying new dishes. Santo was an intelligent man and enjoyed conversations about the Bible, history, current events, classic Hot Rods, etc.. He had the gift of memory when it came to details and facts. Some of his favorite times were going to the mountains enjoying God's creation and beauty. Sometimes when he quoted verses from the bible, he would actually tear. He was also predeceased by his little Boston Terrier, Spiffy. They held a special bond. Even in her last moments she would wait by the door until he came home and howl with Joy when he entered. He was a loving husband and will be dearly missed. Thanks to those who stuck by him, especially through some of his weakest times. He appreciated your loyalty. A quote from Santo: "Life is a beautiful gift and it could change in an instant. Be thankful that you are still here." It was Santo's wishes to have no prior services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Kidney Foundation, 1344 University Ave. #270, Rochester, NY 14607 in Santo's memory.
