Steve,Sue,Nancy,and Dan - So sorry to have read about your mom's passing.Betsy was an amazing woman I was honored to have known for many years.In fact she could have saved my life not once but twice.While installing a new roof on your home during a February break from school I slipped off the upper roof down to the lower back roof.My ladder was out front. Betsy heard my calls for help and came running-was able to reset the ladder to the lower roof to get me down.Shortly after I managed to do it again and sure enough Betsy was there for the rescue.Never once did she question if I knew what I was doing.I do however remember her snickering a little.How fortunate to have such a wonderful mother.Thoughts and prayers to you all. Dear DeJohns, I was sadden to learn of Betsys passing! I have so many fond childhood memories of Betsy! She was such a loyal friend to my mom! I remember when Betsy was so happy to hear that I had a son so she could re gift me a drum that my mom had given to Steve! Hoping your memories are a wonderful comfort! It’s a comfort to know that Ellie and Betsy are reunited!
