TEKLA PRYJMAK (nee, Lysymanka)

Tekla passed away at age 91 in Dandridge, TN on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, with her family at her side, after a three year battle with cancer. Born April 20, 1930 in Buchach, Ukraine. She resided in Rochester from 1952. She is pre-deceased by her husband Stefan Pryjmak; two sons Peter and John. Survived by her daughter Irene (Gary) Nielson; 2 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She was a long standing member of St. Josaphat's Ukranian Catholic Church, and worked endless hours in the church kitchen. The family gives special thanks to the University of Tennessee Medical Center Cancer Center and the University of Tennessee Medical Center Hospice Service personnel during the past few months.

Her family will receive friends on Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.), Panachyda 6:30 p.m. Friends are invited to meet the family on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Church for her Divine Liturgy. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
