Mary Lou Lawson (LuLu) Rochester- Surrounded by her loving family and friends, Monday, December 20, 2021 passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. She leaves her 2 children, Kevin A. (Jeni Groves) and Gregory T.; 4 beloved grandchildren, Jayden Anderson, Greyson Bilodeau, and Tatum and Carter Lamme; sister Roseanne (Mike) Davie; nieces, nephews and cousins.

A retiree of Excellus BCBS, Mary Lou was a graduate of Nazareth Academy. She was an accomplished bridge player and teacher. She encouraged new players to learn the game and not be discouraged. Mary Lou had a passion for and a history with the City of Rochester Public Market. Her father and grandparents were produce vendors in the 30's. Mary Lou was one of the original members of the nonprofit, Friends of the Rochester Public Market. She gave generously of her time and talents, serving as president of the board of directors, and was instrumental in starting Artist Row. She had a positive influence on The Rochester Public Market's revival and subsequent success. Mary Lou was also an active member of The Century Club of Rochester for many years. She was respected for her financial expertise and served as Club Treasurer, member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. She leaves treasured friends and will be greatly missed by the membership and all the hearts that she touched.

Mass at 10am 12/28 at St. Margaret Mary Church, 401 Rogers Pkwy, Rochester, NY 14617, Interment, Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 2461 Lake Ave, Rochester, NY 14612.
