Obituary of James M. Dittmar

Called home to the Lord on 12/30/21, at 82 years. Born and raised in Rochester, lived in St. Louis, Mo. for forty plus years, before returning to Rochester about 20 years ago. Second son of Alexander and Ruth Dittmar. He is survived by his sisters, Noreen Gresens, (and the late John Gresens) of Sacramento, Eileen (Robert) West of Rochester, and Mary Anne Rouse (Greg Lang) of Rochester. Predeceased by brother, Thomas Dittmar, of Tucson, Az. Jim also leaves behind a whole host of loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

In St. Louis, Jim was a leading sales rep for International Paper, making friends all
over the world. Jim never met a stranger, and he leaves behind many great friends in St. Louis and Rochester.
The family would like to thank the staff at the former Hill Haven Nursing Home for their
wonderful care of Jim for the past several years, and more recently, St. Mary’s LTC. Donations in Jim’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held Friday May 20th at 12pm at the funeral home.
