Joan was my sponsor when I was confirmed at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, our local parish, when I was in 4th grade. I still have the Holy Card she gave me when she became a nun on August 15,1954 in Allegheny, New York. Joan took the name, Sister M. Catharine Laboure. I grew up with the Sullivan sisters on Inglewood Drive and we were all so lucky to spend our childhood there. I loved their parents and their cousins who would sometimes visit, WONDERFUL MEMORIES! i hope to be able to attend calling hours later today or Mass tomorrow, My thoughts and prayers go out to Kay.
