Penfield: Monday, April 4, 2022 at age 78. Predeceased by his sister, Margaret Assel. William is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Margaret "Peg" Assel; children, William Assel, Jr., Catherine (Michael) Cosco, Patricia (Frank) Ciulla; grandchildren, Alexandria (Caleb), Alexis (Mark), Nicole, Roger; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, Kathleen (Edward) Tillery, Thomas (Barbara) Assel, Chris (Karen) Assel and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

William was a manager at Eastman Kodak Co. and IBM and Co-Owner of Durand Rental-All. He served in the USN during the Vietnam War.

Friends are invited to meet the family Monday, April 11, 10:00 am at St. Kateri At Christ the King Church for his funeral mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or a charity of your choice.
