Mom,
You're my best friend. I thank God for having 55 years of laughter and tears with you. There was almost nothing I didn't share with you. We got each other out of trouble and we got each other into trouble.
The last 4 years were challenging. Dad, Rick and I were just flying by the seat of our pants trying to do the right thing and trying to do right by you. I have countless memories prior to you getting sick, but I wouldn't trade the last 4 years for anything. It was heartbreaking to watch you slipping away. I thank God that I had the opportunity to give back to you what you had given me for so many years.
I pray that I made you proud and that I can continue to make you proud. You made me who I am today. You are everywhere around me. Not just because we are in your house; not because your belongings surround us... You Surround Me. And let's face it, everytime I look in the mirror, I see you.
To my family- Mom loved every one of us so deeply. Hardly a day went by that she didn't ask "Are my babies okay?". She was obsessed with her great-grandchildren. It didn't matter if she saw them in person or in photos; she lit up at the sight of them. Please keep her alive in them. That's all she asked for.
It was a hell of a ride Mom! Rest easy now and say hello to everyone up there. I'll see you soon. I love you!
