Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of your mother. I recall my parents talking about the friendship that they had with both of your parents. . .especially my mother, Rita Powers Hannan and the memories with your mother in Nursing School. I have been sorting through pictures that my parents had, and remembered these 2 that I am posting. Although losing someone as close as this is difficult and emotionally painful, you can take solace in the fact that she led a good, long life, and that she touched and positively influenced many lives. I feel truly blessed to have SO MANY wonderful memories of growing up with the Lapple family -- from family gatherings to campaigning ("an apple for Lapple") to cheerleading to gatherings at each others' homes -- right into adulthood. Mrs. Lapple was always an organized bundle of energy - and my Mom LOVED volunteering with her at St. Salome's and Bishop Kearney. What a positive legacy she left behind!
