Obituary of John Gottlieb Glauser

John Gottlieb Glauser of Irondequoit passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. John was predeceased by his parents, John and Estelle (Alekson) Glauser. John is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Melinda (Schauman) Glauser. Children, Jeffry (Kelly) Glauser, Jenna (Frederick Jay) Vyverberg. Sister, Joan (Bruce) Fagan and brother, James (Karen) Glauser. Sister- in- law, Karen Schauman(Dick Rittler). Grandchildren, Sara, Nisa, Zachary, Frederick and Jacob. Several nieces and nephews.

John retired after 50 years of dedicated services in the security systems profession. He married the love of his life on September 22, 1962 in Rochester, NY. John loved sports, especially his days of coaching his children in soccer, watching March Madness and taking his son Jeffry to NHRA drag races. John had a passion for sailing and was an accomplished racer at the Pultneyville Mariners. He was a longtime council member at Salem United Church of Christ. He and the family cherished the time they spent together.

Friends are invited to meet the family on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 4 to 7PM. A memorial service and Internment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Salem United Church of Christ or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in John's memory
