As one of Emily's high school teachers, I remember well her talent and her personal skills that definitely played a role in her future calling as a teacher. Students following in our steps as educators give us as teachers special admiration and pride. Thinking of Emily, her colleagues, and her students as a new school year begins. Our son, Wesley, an IHS classmate of Emily's, remembers her also with great fondness. Seeing Kathy in recent years has enabled Wes to stay in touch with this special Irondequoit family. We all sense this great loss to the Morris family and to our community. Prayers for all of you to be comforted and to be blessed by an abundance of memories of happy and healthy times with Emily. Emily had such light and fire! She was strong, determined, and full of love and compassion! She was one of two of my “work daughters”. My heart is broken for her family, friends, and students.
