Grandma Heid was a very special, one of a kind woman. She treated friends like family and family was her whole heart. Good days and bad days, she always put her family first.
Growing up she made day trips and sleepovers feel like an adventure. I'll never forget our weeks together in the Thousand Islands, at the Aqua Zoo, Boldt Castle and the beach. She could spend the whole day telling stories of crashing weddings with her girlfriends, vacationing back in the day, and anything to do with great grandpa.
She will forever hold a special place in mine, and many peoples hearts. Her legacy is the family bonds she created for so many of us, her love will always live within us. She'll be cherished and missed by us all.

My memories of Grandma are strong and everlasting. I remember being little and always wanting to spend the night there and when we did we usually got to go out to eat or order pizza...have snacks and stay up late. I thought it was so cool to go to Longridge Mall and see her in her custom decorating office. Grandma was a big part of my dance life as a kid she showed up to everything, went away for dance competitions with us. I know she helped pay for things...and am forver grateful. All my friends loved grandma.
She was so fiesty and especially thought she was cool with her big biceps. I was fortunate enough to have Grandma help out with Alex when she was a baby and I know they both loved their time together. It always worked out great to bring Grandma my leftovers she would eat anything. She used to say Jimmy ain't a bad cook and he ain't bad to look at either. If I was upset I can hear her say.. "oh honey"...If she disagreed with something... "oh horse balls". I remember grandma as a popular lady...had lots of friends, was always on the phone or on the go...she was well liked and was a lot of fun. That's how i will remember her and those are just a few reasons why I loved her so much.

This picture is of Jack and Lu, she is holding Kathy. Lucille is my sister-in-law, She always called me her sister. I lived with Lu and my brother for a time, before I left Rochester. Lu would take care of me when I was a little girl. She is only 13 years older then myself. She loved her husband, mother, father, children, grandkids, and all the greats, her nieces, and nephews. She will be missed and not forgotten. I love her and she loved me. Thank you Lu for all the memories. Now you are in the most glorious place, with our Great and Wonderful Savior and Lord.

Aunt Lucille was a very special lady. She loved and gave her whole heart and soul to her family.
A funny story is she would call on her cell phone thinking it was someone else and it would be me - my name begins with an A - she would accidentally call me and when she realized who it was she would say “oh my I called you by mistake - how did I do that.”
We would laugh and talk for a few.
You will be missed so very much Aunt Lucille.
Eternal rest grant unto her Oh Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen

Aunt Lucille was an amazing woman, wife, mother and friend. She had a tough exterior with an amazingly soft and loving heart. She was always there, thru thick and thin, helping wherever she could, during good times and not so good times. She unselfishly took care of her own mother, our grandmother, in grandma's final days. She loved unconditionally, whether you saw her everyday or only occasionally. She loved to hear about what you were doing and how your life was going... She had an infectious laugh that will be missed. We all were so blessed to have such an amazing woman in our family.... Saying she will be missed is an understatement. God bless your dear soul Aunt Lu, rest in peace.
