May she continue to Rest in Love - Elizabeth was a wonderful light, always positive and upbeat, and she made an incredible impact on so many. I enjoyed spending time with her through Bishop Kearney soccer, classes (BK Class of 2007), and Seabreeze. Continuing to wish the Yu/Maurer families comfort, peace, and strength.

Dear John and family, I did not know Elizabeth but heard so many wonderful things about her when John would come to Dr Lucia’s office, I loved listening all about this amazing family. I am so sorry for your loss. It is a great loss indeed. I volunteered in the Bernabi school library for several years when my niece was a student there. Elizabeth is one of the warmest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Her bright smile and affectionate manner with the students was an inspiration. We never talked about faith, but reading Elizabeth's obituary, it makes perfect sense: she exuded light. Being a public school librarian means juggling a lot of balls: you have all different age levels and abilities; you're teaching older kids research skills; and you're responsible for a collection and trying to keep all the children's requests for new books in mind. All this and people are coming in and out all day, completely separate from your classes. It can be exhausting, but Elizabeth was always the picture of grace under fire. Her job wasn't a job. It was a vocation. She touched a lot of lives and she will be dearly missed. Bridget Schultz

I am heartbroken to hear of Elizabeth's passing. She was a joy to teach and coach at Bishop Kearney.. Her upbeat, positve attitude set an example for all of her teammates, as well as her coaches. She made me a better person just being around her. Mrs. Forte and I send our heartfelt condolences and prayers to Elizabeth's entire family..
