Obituary of Robert M. Messmer

passed away peacefully on September 3rd, 2023 at the age of 65.  Bob is predeceased by his parents, George and Faye. He is survived by his wife, Carol of almost 40 years, their amazing sons, Jeremy, Jamie, and Joshua (Brittany). His siblings, Patti (Larry), Ed (Debbie), George (Barb), Chris (Maria) and Joy. Many nieces and nephews, his beloved grandchildren, Robbie and Leah, and too many friends to count.

Bob was a devoted husband, father, brother, Grandpa, and friend.  Bob married Carol Mosher on April 16, 1983 at Holy Reedmer Church.   Bob enjoyed telling stories about his time in the military, listening to music, chasing around "his Robbie boy", having a laugh with his brothers, spending time with his sons and cracking a cold one and watching the Bills. To have known Bob, was to know love. There wasn't anything he wouldn't have done for those he loved. He will be missed greatly.

Friends are invited to meet the family on Sunday, September 10, 2023 from 4 to 7PM at Harris funeral home, (570 Kings Highway South).  Friends are invited to join the family on Monday, September 11, 2023 at 9:30AM at Sacred Heart Cathedral for Bob's funeral mass.  Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery with full military honors.  To leave an online condolence, please visit www.harrisfuneralhome.com
