Maddock, Michael B. of Irondequoit passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. Michael was predeceased by his parents, Melvin and Janet (Anderson) Maddock, brother, Jeffrey Maddock, and father-in-law, Richard E. Diamond. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Diane (Diamond) Maddock. Children, Kelsey (Craig) Breeze and Jake Maddock. Siblings, Cheri (Jack) Butler and Steve (Jenni) Maddock. Mother-in-law, Nancy Diamond. Brother and sister-in-law’s, Richard (Diane) Diamond, Nancy (Nick) Iovine, and Lori Diamond who was a welcome house guest and for whom Mike would shut down the “continental breakfast” as soon as Lori woke up. Nieces and nephews, Jess (John) Nichols, Dylan Maddock, Nathan Maddock, Sara Butler, Michael Iovine, Paige (Jeff) Iovine-Wong, Victoria (Adam) Horne, Billy Raymond, and Jesse Diamond, Dear Friends, Debbie (Doug) Evans. Dogs, Aiko & Max and his cats, Oliver & Freya, and all of the many friends and acquaintances he loved within the music scene.

Mike was born on November 9, 1954 in Rochester. Mike graduated from Rush-Henrietta High School and then went on to further his education at U of R where he received a Master degree in accounting and finance. Mike proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam era. Michael met Diane Diamond, the love of his life, on the Charlotte pier in 1986 and they married on August 10, 1991. Mike worked for Spectrum Cable as a construction manager for over forty years of dedicated services and after retiring, went back to work for Burrow Bros. After “retiring” again from Burrows Bros. in 2020, Michael enjoyed spending his free time passionately cheering on his football team, the Raiders, napping, taking long 3AM walks with his dogs, napping, riding his motorcycle, napping, and listening to music and attending music festivals where he would be with “thousands of my friends”. The Grateful Dead was a significant part of Mike’s life. He embraced the music, the magic, and dancing barefoot at over 1,000 concerts and music festivals. Mike loved and cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.

Friends are invited to join the family on Monday, September 18, 2023 from 4 to 7PM at the Paul W. Harris funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). On Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 10 AM, Friends are invited to meet the family at the funeral home for his funeral service. Full Military Honors to follow.
