Obituary of Calliope Chilas

Calliope Chilas passed away Tuesday September 19th, 2023. She is survived by her loving husband Christos, her daughter Diane, son Michael, grandchildren Christopher (Renee), Kirk, Maria (Robert) and great granddaughter Margaret. Calliope led an exciting and fulfilling life full of family, travel and love. She enjoyed playing tennis, swimming, and above all cooking. She was always excited to host any event or holiday for her loved ones. She was a long time member of her church choir, Philoptohos and the Daughters of Penelope. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the choir at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Spirit. Calling hours will be at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Spirit Friday September 22, 2023 from 4pm-7pm. The funeral service will also be held at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Spirit on Saturday September 23, 2023 at 10am. The funeral will be followed by interment at White Haven Memorial Park, and then a meal back at the church. The church address is: 835 South Ave, Rochester, NY 14620. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Spirit Choir.
