Obituary of Kathleen Marie Christie

Our darling Kathleen (Kasey) Christie passed away peacefully on 9/21/23 after losing her courageous battle to cancer. She is predeceased by her father Frank C. Organ and grandparents. She is survived by her mother Sadie Lou Organ, life partner James Ciccone, sister Barbara (Stuff) Stumbo, brother Joseph (Katie) Organ, nieces Deneil (Mark) Hinman, Jillian (Mitch) Breslow, Brian (Caroline) Organ, Stephen (Kate) Organ, Stephen Ciccone, Michele Ciccone as well as all of their children.

Kasey was known for her fun-loving nature, kind heart, and unwavering love for both people and animals. She passionately dedicated her career to teaching and helping underprivileged children in the Rochester City School district. Kasey had a genuine ability to connect with people, forging heartfelt relationships with family friends and students alike. She was always there for people in need and her passion for animals was evident in her efforts in building condos for feral cats in addition to sharing her home with multiple feline companions.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff on the 4th floor of Strong Memorial Hospital for their kindness and care in her final days.

A private service will be held on 9/26/23 at Harris Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests donations be made to the charity of your choice.
