Obituary of Elizabeth R. Kennedy

Kennedy, Elizabeth (Raetz). “Beth” of Irondequoit, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at age 87. Beth was predeceased by her husband, Francis Kennedy, parents, Carl Raetz and Mary Raetz (Kiernan), and sisters Margaret Foos, and Irene F. Robbins (Raetz). Elizabeth is survived by her nephews, John Carlton, Stephen (Angie) Robbins, George Robbins, Jr., Goddaughter, Marybeth (Bart) Patton and several great nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth was born on September 27, 1936 in Rochester, NY. Beth graduated from Nazareth Academy and then graduated from Nazareth College with a Bachelors in Arts/History. Beth began her career as a teacher, but decided to make a change. She took a job with Eastman Kodak starting as a programmer, moving up to financial analyst and retired as a Financial Administrator well before her time.

Beth married Francis on June 21, 1975. In their free time, they traveled and socialized with friends and family. Beth loved to cook, and play bridge. She enjoyed sewing, making her own clothes. Most of all, she always cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.

Friends are invited to meet the family at Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Ave, Rochester on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 10:30AM for her funeral mass. (This service will be live streamed.
