Obituary of John E. Staples

Irondequoit: Sunday, November 5, 2023.  Pre-deceased by his wife Annette. John is survived by his sons, David ( Joanne Shannon) & Michael ( Jennifer); grandchildren, Connor & Riley.

John spent many years as a scientist, mainly researching and raising different species of moths and butterflies. His love for nature continued on as he would spend many hours in his gardens.  If you see a monarch, think of John as there's a good chance it came from one of his many gardens. He was also an avid stamp collector and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others.

His family will receive friends at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.) Sunday November 19, from 3:00-5:00pm, followed by a reception.
