Obituary of Mary Louise Davis
Mary Davis
Webster: Sunday, December 24, 2023, at the age of 70, surrounded by family; Mary joined her loving husband Ronald in their eternal home. Mary was born in Rochester, NY on June 21, 1953 to the late Charles and Almeda Steehler. She attended Bishop Kearney High School. Outside of her deep devotion to her faith she devoted her life to raising her children and caring for her family; even taking on the education of her children. She enjoyed the fellowship time spent with the many couples and friends she made along with her husband over the years at their different places of worship. Mary's closest friends would spend outings with her to different arts festivals and doing activities. Mary loved finding a little something to commemorate happy times. She enjoyed crafting and candy making. Her chocolate covered goodies around the holidays will be missed.
Mary was most at peace when in the presence of her husband. They spent 42 years on earth loving and enjoying each others companionship. Together they practiced their deep love for their Lord and Savior and shared that with their family and friends. They enjoyed long car rides together listening to music and taking in the beauty of their surroundings. They had moved to Rural Retreat, VA and built their retirement home amongst the views of the Blue Ridge mountains. Mary returned to Rochester in 2021 after losing Ron suddenly, and a part of her was lost with him. They now rest in peace together and enjoy an eternal ride in Gods light.
Mary is survived by her children Dawn Ashworth of NC, Adam Davis of AL, and Abraham (Brianna) Davis of Fairport, NY; her brothers Charles(Janet) Steehler, Lawrence(Trisha) Steehler, Richard(Linda) Steehler and her sister Patricia(Eugene) Creel; five grandchildren and two great grand children. Mary was predeceased by her husband Ronald.
Her family will receive friends Friday, December 29, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Her funeral service will immediately follow there at 1:00 PM. Interment private.
