Obituary of Frances A. Beth
Frances A. Beth “Fran” (Anderson)
Irondequoit: Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at the age of 81 after a brief health battle. Pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Ron Beth; parents George and Anita Anderson. Fran is survived by her devoted daughter, Francine (Martin Knebel) Beth; brother, George Anderson; sister-in-law, Darlene (James) Cieslinski; nephews, David (Mary Lynn) and Chad (Emily) Anderson; grand puppies, Higgins, and Lola.
Known far beyond her long-time residence in Webster, NY as the proud co-owner of Marge’s in Seabreeze, NY, Fran’s most cherished roles were that of wife to Ron Beth, and adoring mother to only daughter, Francine. The 3rd person to graduate from East Ridge H.S., Fran retired from Eastman Kodak Co. after 30 years and continued the tavern’s legacy of family co-ownership with daughter Francine. Marge’s Lakeside Inn was owned by Marge Beth until her son Ron purchased the tavern in 1975; running it until his passing in December of 1986. To this day, Marge’s remains a local favorite as well as a destination for travelers and musicians near and far. Along with her fiery watch over the tavern and loyalty to long-time friends and family, Fran will be remembered for her love of the country, those who protect it, and for being Rochester’s most beloved and “Dynamic” Songbird.
Family and friends will be received Friday, January 5, 3:00PM to 8:00PM at Harris Funeral Home (570 Kings Highway So.). Services will be held in private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Sea Breeze Volunteer Fire Department, 4657 Culver Road, Rochester, NY 14622 or Point Pleasant Fire Dept, 257 Kings Highway North, Rochester, NY 14617.
