Obituary of Craig J. Dengler

Craig Dengler, 72 passed away in the early morning of Sunday January 21st. Craig was unique. Some would even call him the Next Best Thing, or at the very least a member of it.  He asked that we all “Don’t worry. Be happy.” So in the spirit of that wish, here is a small yet not at all comprehensive list of some of the things Craig loved. 

His family. 

Being Grandpa D to his Ainsley.

His other family. The Boys. 

His connections with people. Old and new. 

Living through music. 

His island life, and the love of the woman he met there. 

Capturing moments of intensity, speed and emotion in his photography.

And one that we can hope for: Knowing he was loved, and treasured beyond measure. 

Craig is predeceased by his parents, John "Jack" & Elizabeth "Betty" Dengler. He is survived by his son, Chris (Sarah) Dengler; his granddaughter, Ainsley Dengler; brother, Jeff Dengler; niece, Kristina Dengler; nephew, Sven (Kayla) Dengler.

His family will receive friends Wednesday, January 31, 5-7pm at the funeral home (570 kings Highway So.). 

The family is planning a celebration of life in late spring 2024. Details to come.
