Hey all...Sorry about your mom, she was so special to me in my summer or two in Port Bay (plus all the good times on Pleasant Way and the skating rink in the back yard and all that good St Salomes stuff). I always recall how fast your mom could rip through the rosary! And the night I saw her on episode 1 of undercover boss, and called her the next day to ask her about it and she just giggled. Whenever in Rochester (not too often these days), I would stop by and say hi, and I think the last time was probably 5 or so years ago. In any case, she was such a great lady, so many wonderful memories of her strawberry jelly. It is never easy to lose your mom, I still think of mine every so often and it has been 30 years-....you all will, too. Chris Gorski

I have nothing but beautiful memories of “ Mrs Helfer”. We’d occasionally run into each other at Wegmans and she never failed to recognize me, no matter how many years had. Always a loving warm smile for all who were privileged to know her. May she rest in peace.
