Obituary of Edward Waller
Edward Maxwell Waller was born August 15th 1942 in Richmond Virginia and passed away April 11, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents, Edward Waller Sr. and Virginia Lee McCullough, his wife Norrine Elizabeth Christiano, his brother Harold and sister Ray Ruggeri Waller. He is survived by his two sons, Edward (Lourdes) Waller, Jr. and Scott Waller; grandchildren, Miguel Clement, Tahlia Clement and Eduardo Waller, brother, James, sisters Robin House and Karen Nuraldin.
Ed is a graduate of Ithaca College with a degree in Physical Education. He taught Physical Education in the Rochester City School District and at McQuaid Jesuit HS for 30 years. For a period of time he was the Phys Ed director at the Neighborhood House in Elmira, NY. He was the Head Volleyball Coach at McQuaid for 19 years.
He helped to develop programs to serve underprivileged kids and worked to offer kids better educational opportunities. Early in his career he served at the Lewis St. Center for youth and he volunteered as a counselor at the Baden St. Center. During his summers Ed worked in the High Achievement Program (HAP) at McQuaid.
Ed had a passion for camping/canoeing in the Adirondacks, bowling, and was a skilled high board diver. He traveled extensively with his family. In his early years of marriage Ed supported his wife and was active in her catering business, and later her travel agency.
Ed lived his life truly by the Jesuit Motto "A Man for Others". He dedicated his life to building up others, physically, mentally and spiritually. He will be missed and remembered by many.
His family will receive friends Friday, April 26, 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.), where his funeral service will be held Saturday, April 27, 3:00 pm. Interment held privately.

McQuaid donation envelopes will be available at the funeral home during the calling hours and Ed's memorial service.
