Obituary of Dino Fioravanti
Dino Fioravanti was 90 years old when he serenely passed away on May 9, 2024 surrounded by his family in the house that he built for them.
Born in Ascoli Piceno, Italy, the chapters of his storied life included working on the family farm, proudly serving in the Italian Army, immigrating to the USA at age 28 and attaining citizenship in 1975, marrying the love-of-his-life Anna, launching his own masonry company, raising a beautiful family, joining Delco Products for the last stage of his career and retiring in 1995.
A very proud Italian-American, Dino’s life was animated by beloved family, cultivating his garden which included a decades-old fig tree that he nurtured through western New York winters, mechanical tinkering and sharing his broad knowledge with everyone. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Dino immediately and indelibly touched everyone fortunate enough to meet him, always greeting people with an infectious smile that made you feel like an instant friend.
Dino is pre-deceased by his parents Giovanni and Antonia, his brother Pompelio and sister Elena Coccia.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Anna, and children John (Christina), Lou (Michele) and Diana (Joe) Daggar. He was blessed with 8 grandchildren: Johnathon, Jake, Juliana, Jillian, Rhett, Lauren, Marisa, Miranda and many nieces and nephews in the US and Italy. His surviving legacy in Italy includes his siblings Gabrielle, Antonio and Emidio. In the USA, he is survived by his in-laws Angie, Frank, Mario, Andrew and Maria Ferruzza.
