Obituary of Rudy Dillon

Rudy Dillon age 92, of Rochester, NY, died Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at home in Rochester, NY.

He was born in Tyrone, Blair Co., PA on March 14, 1932 the son of Shirl A. and Maude E. (Barrett) Dillon, Sr. He graduated from Tyrone High School in 1950, and was an Army veteran having served proudly from 1952 to 1954. On Oct. 7, 1961 he was married to Alvina H. Paulauski at St. John's Lutheran Church in Williamsport, Lycoming Co., PA and moved to Rochester in 1962.

Mr, Dillon retired from The Office Equipment Co. in 2001.

Surviving are his wife, Alvina; a son, Douglas E. Dillon (Deana) of Webster, NY; one grandson, Chad M. Dillon (Shannon) a great granddaughter, Addison Grace Dillon and great grandson, Waylon Jude Dillon of Newark, NY; step-granddaughter, Chanteal (Clement) Yehl (Peter) and step-great grandson, Cayden Gerringer of Canandaigua, NY; two brothers, Jack Dillon (Catherine) of Tyrone, PA and Marvin Dillon of Rochester, NY; and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Joe Dillon, and Shirl Dillon, Jr. and three sisters, Loma Weaver; Ramona Cupp and Ruth McConahy.

Calling Hours will be held Thursday, June 6, 4-6pm at the Harris Funeral Home (570 Kings Highway So.) where his Funeral Service will follow at 6:00pm. Interment Montoursville Cemetery, in Mountousville, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306.
