Obituary of Marianna Radecka
Rochester- Passed on July 2, 2024 at the age of 98, thinking about her family and how she was fortunate that she was surrounded by all the love and respect her.
She moved to Rochester in 1967 from Lodz, Poland, to make a better life for her and eventually her daughter Boguslawa and grandsons,(Arek & Jacek). She was able to get a job at Xerox. Every vacation she made it back to Poland to bring presents from the US for the family so they could have a little taste of the US and to take their minds away from the tough conditions they had in Poland. This was typical for Marianna as she always thought of everyone else and made it a point to make them feel special and loved.
She was able to help her daughter and family to come to the states. She supported the family as they lived with her for over 7 years. Marianna even helped close friends get on their feet in the US from Poland, and always did it with a smile on her face.
Marianna made it a point to spend time with her family and always was the one to take her grandsons to the movies, Putt-Putt, soccer games, and even Pizza Hut on school days! Once the great grandkids came (Little Jacek, Lexi, Ella, and Max) - Marianna continued her generosity and thoughtfulness as she never missed a birthday and the $50 gift in the card. All of her birthday and christmas cards had her signature stickers all over the card. We would all learn that these stickers signified all the love she had for all of us. Another activity of Marianna's was chasing Jacek and Arek around with a belt when they didn't listen.
As much as we all hurt and will miss our babcia and prababcia - we all know she is in a better place and back with her husband Stanislaw, dancing the night away and smiling throughout the night as she did back in the day!
Marianna is predeceased by her husband Stanislaw Radeki; survived by her daughter, (Boguslawa); grandson's, Jacek (Maria -wife), Arek (Kara-wife) grandchildren, Alexis, Ellasandra, Maxim and Jacek.
Friends are invited to meet the family Saturday, July 6, 11:00 am at Richard L. Felerski Funeral Home, Inc ( 570 Kings Hwy So.) for her funeral mass.
