Dear Jim,
I look at the recent obituaries online via Democrat and Chronicle, and it was strange mishap that I missed your father's Obituary. When I looked back, your father was listed with the earlier obituaries page. I was so upset at myself for missing it. Your Dad Fred and your Mother Ann were longtime friends with my parents since they were young. Your Mom and my Mom were friends since high school. Us children grew up in close company together, fairly often, with my me and my sisters Denise and Donna, and brother Jeff visiting your family or you and your sister Gwen visiting our family. I remember your Dad calling your sister Gwendolyn.
I remember that your Dad was a proud Marine and my father was a proud Navy sailor. When they watched us children at our cottage when our Moms went out together, I remember the singing of the Marine song "From the Halls of Montezuma..." and the Navy song "Anchors Away, My Boys" as they made breakfast and took care of us kids. I remember the Easter vacations we spent together in Treasure Island, St. Petersburg, Florida after we came up from Fort Myers, Florida, after visiting my father's hospitable, former boss and his wife. I remember our adventures with both our families in Treasure Island.
You have my deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers at the recent deaths of both your sister Gwen and your father Frederick, in addition to your mother dying in the early 2000's. May your father Frederick E. Troicke Rest In Peace. May your sister Gwen Troicke Rest In Peace. And May your mother Anna Kucy Troicke Rest In Peace. And May God comfort and sustain you and your family. -Diane Christine Eggert hayes
