Rotating weekend jam venues amongst the friend-family. Alan shopping with Valerie to make a special guitar purchase for George. Alan stopping by downstairs Hillendale street, in the pouring rain, to see how we were doing in our new venue. David's band 'playing out' in a 'cowboy' venue and how Jake played it. Playing percussion lawn chair arms in Jim's parents' backyard--- stellar, should have been recorded. Marathon weekend Risk games. Wendy and Alan packing to move to PA and, as if that wasn't enough, on to Boston. New Year's Eve shrimp fests. Hanging at John & Shirley's with their boys. The wake for Alan's Mom. The July 1991 farewell party for the Griffiths--- plan a picnic in NY, it will rain. Soggy crepe paper is sad. But what bittersweet fun we had!
Alan, Wendy and a young Catie Rose coming to California to celebrate Thanksgiving!!! Followed by a visit to San Francisco. Can't even begin to touch all the memories! They wax eternal and have colored our lives with love.
He's gone, he's gone, and nothings gonna bring him back--- except for these glorious remembrances. Alan can never really be gone!
Love you Wendy. May God keep you and the girls in his comfort, grace, mercy and love.

We met him through music and knew him as dheadcase. He was a man of good taste and humor and he leaves a number of good friends in the Grateful Dead and trading communities. I was pleased to meet him at the Highland Bowl and sorry we did not have more time together. All of us want to express our deepest sympathy to his family and friends.
May the four winds blow you home, dheadcase.
