Obituary of Maria Ferruzza

Rochester- Friday, September 6, 2024 at the age of 87. Maria is predeceased by her husband  Paul; parents, Giuseppe and Gandolfa Velardi. She is survived by her children, Lucy Ferruzza, Maurice Ferruzza, Rose Ann (Mark) Torpey and Paul Ferruzza; grandchildren, Cristina (Gian Luca) Cirasuolo, Elise (Brandon) Daly, John Paul (Shay) Gleason, Olivia (Sean) McMahon, Gina (Devin) McGrath, Luke Ferruzza, Marcus Torpey, Emily Torpey, Jack Ferruzza, Grace Ferruzza and Sarah Ferruzza; great-grandchildren, Sofia, Ryan, Samantha, Jayden and Frank; brother, Gandolfo Velardi; daughter-in-laws, Linda Stauber and Kate Ferruzza; sister-in-laws, Angie Ferruzza and Anna Fioravanti; brother-in-laws, Mario Ferruzza, Frank Ferruzza and Andrew (Josephine) Ferruzza, along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Her family will receive friends Thursday, September 12, 4-7 pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Friends are invited to meet the family Friday, September 13, 10:00 am at St. Kateri at Christ the King Church for her funeral mass. Entombment Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Maria’s name can be made to the Catholic Charities Family and Community Services or Alzheimer’s Association.
