Obituary of Robert F. Wilson

Robert F. Wilson Esq., beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on October 3rd, 2024. Born in Rochester, NY, he graduated from McQuaid Jesuit HS, Le Moyne College, Cornell Law School, and served in the in the United States Army. After an honorable discharge he worked in Rochester as an attorney at several firms and then for decades at ESL Federal Credit Union before retiring. He was an avid sportsman, music lover, world traveler, and outdoorsman.

Bob was predeceased by his beloved wife Rosemary (Gottry) Wilson, parents, Mary (Gilmore) Wilson and Robert E. Wilson, brothers Thomas “Tucker” Wilson and David Wilson. He is survived by his wife Lorraine “Laurie” (Perry) Wilson, and siblings: Richard (Betty) Wilson, Timothy (Thanh) Wilson, William (Sandi) Wilson, Martin (Jacqeline) Wilson, Maureen (Robert) Bishop, James (Virginia) Wilson, Eileen (Windsor Jr.) Price, Sister-in-Law Joan (Gottry) Seymour, Sister-In-Law Patricia (Gottry) Tobin, and Sister-in-law Marie Wilson, as well as many nieces and nephews.

His memory lives on through his cherished children Robert G. (Shawn) Wilson, Daniel G. (Carrie) Wilson, and Julie (Adrian) Mercier and stepchildren Andrea Buck, Adam Perry and Aaron (Merelyn) Perry. He adored and actively supported his fifteen grandchildren through their countless activities and endeavors.

Bob’s sense of humor, love of a story, and dedication to his family and friends will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

 His family will receive friends Friday, October 11, 4-7 pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Friends are invited to meet the family Saturday, October 12, 9:00 am at Peace of Christ Parish At St. Ambrose Church for his funeral mass. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
