Obituary of Kenneth Owen George

Webster- Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at the age of 90.  Ken was the son of the late Harold W. and Elizabeth B. George and was predeceased by one sister, Elizabeth and two brothers, Harold and Homer. He is survived by the Wife of his Youth and Love of his Life, Shirley A. (Jones) George for 71 years; daughters, Cindy Altimus (Gary) and Sherri Yacono (Joseph); sons, Randy George and Rev. Eric George (Diana). He leaves behind ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

Mr. George retired from Bausch & Lomb where he held the position of Manager of Technical Services and Data Communications. Prior to his position with Bausch & Lomb of 20 years, he held Managerial Positions with General Electric, General Telephone and Electronics and Lord Corporation. In Conjunction with his professional career he served in a number of offices in churches, in Pennsylvania and New York as Director of Youth for Christ, Teacher, Elder, Interim Minister and Supply Pastor, in churches, for over forty years. He was a licensed Laity

His family will receive friends Saturday, October 19, 12:00 - 2:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.), where his funeral service will be held Saturday, October 19, 2:00 pm. Interment Webster Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Ken can be made to Common Ground, 2 S Front St. York Haven, PA 17370 or Memorial Drive Wesleyan Church, 1440 West Memorial Drive Muncie, IN 47302. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Phillip Profetta.
