Obituary of Antonio G. Barilla
Antonio Barilla, at age 63, died in his home in Webster, NY, on Friday, October 25th. Antonio, or Tony, was the son of Concetta and Pietro Barilla. He was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was raised in Irondequoit, NY with his three siblings, Rosie (Walter) Delle Coste, Enza (Tony) Mormino, and Sam (Connie) Barilla. Tony graduated in 1978 from Irondequoit High School, where he met his beloved wife Marcia Barilla. Together Marcia and Tony raised three sons, Michael, Vincent, his wife Ashley, and Christopher. A skilled stone mason, Tony built his family’s home in Webster and built his own company, Barilla Construction.
Tony enjoyed spending time with his family, and was a loving father, grandfather, husband, brother, and uncle. He will be dearly missed by his nieces and nephews: Alessandro, Nicholas, Sarah, Peter, Victoria, Phillip, and Sophia. He cherished his time with his grandchildren: Arianna, Arabella, Enzo, and Charlie. Tony will also be deeply missed by his friends Robert and Andrea Mickiuk who supported him through his accomplishments and hardships, and stood by him and his family after Marcia was diagnosed with ALS. Tony’s family is taking heart that, with his passing, he is now close to Marcia again.
His family will receive friends Sunday, November 3, 1:00 - 4:00pm at Harris Funeral Home in Irondequoit. Friends are invited to meet the family Monday, November 4,10:30am at St. Rita Church in Webster for his memorial mass. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ALS Foundation.
