The bond I had with my “bestie” Joan is still hard to put into exact words. I’ve always felt the (unspoken) feeling between us. Even though I only knew Joan for 16 years of my life, I always felt as though our connection was if we were just naturally bonded for life. I’m certain to feel she made COUNTLESS other people feel this same way… her warmth, piercing blue eyes that just made you feel like she can see to your soul- and of course her STRONG WILLED energy! I would tell her she was the Energizer Bunny.. I hope and pray that just as I (know) of Joan- the rest of the Welch/Cassidy family can find peace in knowing that this AMAZING woman wouldn’t have left without a reason, and of course without a fight!
I know undoubtedly she is in eternal peace with our lord, hopefully with a strong cocktail in hand!
She will be missed by so many. I pray to all of Joan’s family and her love- Jerry.
I pray that Joan’s family finds a peace and smile knowing that Joan impacted me, as I’m sure so many others. I personally will always hold my time with Joan so close to my heart. I would always tell her: I want to be just like you when I grow up…..
