Norman C. LeFrois
Irondequoit: Wednesday, January 1st, 2025 at the age of 83. Predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Marie LeFrois; by Patricia Bruni; sister, Carol A. and brothers, Paul M. and Stephen E. LeFrois. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David L. and Sheri LeFrois and his mother, Beverly; grandchildren, Ryan and Sarah LeFrois; sister, Phyllis M. Scott (CT); sister-in-law, Nina LeFrois; devoted companion, Carole Salvaggio and the exceptional extended families of the Cheesbro/Bruni's; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. LeFrois was a graduate of Aquinas Institute (class of '59). He was a Gold Card Lifetime member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. He served as President of local Branch 210 NALC (1974-1989) and then as Regional Administrative Assistant for the Cincinnati Region until his retirement in 1997. He served on the Executive Board of the New York State Association of Letter Carriers and on the NALC National Retirement Committee.
In addition to his passion for Union advocacy he was also involved in the activity of Drum and Bugle Corps and was Business Manager for the Rochester Crusaders for several years. He was an Associate member of the World Drum Corps Hall of Fame and a member of the Crusader Drum Corps Hall of Fame.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Aquinas Institute, 1157 Dewey Avenue, Rochester, NY, 14613.
His family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 8th from 4pm-7pm at Harris Funeral Home (570 Kings Hwy S.) where a prayer service will follow at 7pm. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery will be private.
