Cappon, Jr. Marvin Thomas
(Rochester): Wednesday, November 17, 2010. After a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Predeceased by his brother, Jerry Cappon and sister and brother-in-law, Eileen and William Dwyer. Mr. Cappon is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Patricia Lamb Cappon; children, Susan (Michael) Dowling of Fairfield ,CT, Thomas Cappon of Macedon, NY, Teresa (Tony) Pfeffer of Victor, NY, Alivia Pfeffer, and Daniel (Catherine Maloney) Cappon of New Orleans ,La: his grandchildren, Jeffery Dowling, Patrick Dowling, Cole Cappon, Alivia Pfeffer, Andrew Pfeffer, Daniel (Catherine Nemeth) Cappon,Mikaila (Timothy) Treadwell, Chelsea Cappon; great grandson, Jordon Cappon; also survived by his first wife, Mary R. Cappon, brother, Paul (Jeanne) Cappon, sister-in-law, Jan Cappon, many loving nieces, nephews, in-laws and special friends.
Mr. Cappon was born in Syracuse, NY to Marvin and Leah (Sullivan) Cappon. He enlisted in the US Army and served during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Lemoyne College and worked as a manufacturer's representative for 50 years. Marvin was an avid hunter, skier and fisherman and was the first President of the Lake Ontario Boat Association. He was a charter boat captain on Seneca Lake and Lake Ontario for over 30 years.
The family would especially like to thank the staff at the University of Rochester Memory Disorder Clinic, Wesley Gardens, and Lifetime Care Hospice for their wonderful care during his illness. A private service will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to University of Rochester Memory Disorder Clinic, 435 East Henrietta Rd. Rochester, NY 14620 in his memory.
