Aunt Ida was a force of life! We loved her sense of humor and her seemingly endless energy. She made all the cookies for our wedding shower. A wonderful cook, a loving aunt, a vivacious woman. We will miss her but keep her memory alive.

The Happiest day we spent...Ida and I have had a long time friendship.Every holiday she would call me to make an apt.to do her hair. She had moved to janets loving home,(at that time)
She would have the table decorated, and set, coffee and her homade cookies,we'd chatt about her kids ,grand kids ,my family aswell to catch up.she was all about family and church.(she especially loved foot washing at easter,)we noticed months ago her memory was fading.she looked so young not a wrinkle..when her daughter called id try to get there to make her look good.who knew that when we sang silent night, jingle bells(and she knew all words) on dec.20th it would be our last meeting.I talked to her about her birthday and told her what a wondeful family shes had on earth and what a wonderful family we have waiting for us in heaven.she lit up when i said those words I know I know...with a smile.we watched a bit of price is rite. Then it was time to leave we had a code word so shed remember me and i said ok ida who am i and she said the one who makes me look goodlol.she kissed me and hugged me as if she knew it would be the last time shed see me.I told her i loved her and would see her again.I cried the whole way home aswell as before leaving janet was tearing up she heard us singing.. we both cried i said id be back to visit...then i got the call janet saying Melanie she had 1 of the happiest days with you.I want to thank you and i told her dont thank me ill be over again and she said mel she died that night.Ida Thank you!!! for bringing me into your life and your families and thank god for allowing me the priviledge of being with her my most special friend on her last day of her journey.I will never forget our last song silent night will always be My Favorite!!!God bless ..Love Melanie Muratore(her friend and Hairdresser)

John, Janette and Dru,
So very sad to hear about the loss of your Mom (and so close to Christmas).
You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

We are sorry we were not able to send our condolences in person, but because of the blizzard on Cape Cod we had to leave Rochester early Sunday. We do have fond memories of sharing family events with your family especially in our youth. Also, Mom and Ida enjoyed a deeper friendship when they both became widows. They were a strong comfort to each other. Ida lived a good life.
