Kassel, Kenneth G
Greece: Thursday, December 23, 2010 at the age of 88. Pre-deceased by his daughter-in-law, Nancy Christ-Kassel. He is survived by his devoted companion, Teresa Biehler, loving children, Caroline(Lyle) Barber, Kenneth D.(Nancy Jo) Kassel and Frederick Kassel, grandchildren, Charles(Lisa Lawson) Denholm, Caroline Thomson, Jesse, Nathaniel, Jesse, Hannah and Morgan Kassel, great granddaughter, Sarah Thomsen, cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends, especially the Biehler Family.
Ken was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries sustained at Omaha Beach on D-Day, survived the Battle of the Bulge and a recent bout with cancer. He was also a Masonic member with the, Fame Lodge #722.
His family will receive friends Monday 4-7 pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are invited to meet the family Tuesday 11:00am at Lakeside Presbyterian Church for his funeral service. Interment will be held in private at Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Masonic Service Bureau, 979 Bay Rd., Webster, NY 14580 or the Visiting Nurse Foundation Inc., 2180 Empire Blvd., Webster, NY 14580.
