Obituary of David E. Hooker

(Irondequoit): Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at age 63. Predeceased by his wife Faye; brother, Daniel. He is survived by his mother, Caroline Jenny; brother, Robert (Marie) Hooker Jr.; sister-in-law, Marilyn Hooker; sister, Rosemarie (Matthew) McDonough; step-sister, Rozanne (Joseph) Pfister; numerous nieces & nephews; dear friends; & faithful dog, Buster. David was one of the founding fathers of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 20, and he was their first historian. David was rewarded many medals for his service in Vietnam. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to David's close friends, Phil & Chip.
His family will receive friends FRIDAY 6:00 - 9:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South), where his funeral service will be held SATURDAY 11:00 AM. Interment Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Vets Center of Rochester.
