Keenan, Theresa M.
Irondequoit: Theresa Maher Keenan, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and devoted friend, went home to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer on August 13, 2011. Predeceased by her parents, Clarence & Eileen Maher of Bergen, NY. Survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, James; and her children, Patrick J.(Julie), Mary(Edward) Fraser, Ellen(Dan) Cullen; grandchildren, Colin, Shannon, Clare, Sara, Gregory, Paul & Jeffrey; siblings, James(Ann) Maher, Mary O'Rourke, Richard Maher; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Terry was a graduate of Bergen H.S. and Eastman Dental. She attended SUNY Cortland and the U of R and worked as a dental hygiene teacher in the Spencerport Central School Dist, and was a dental hygienist in private practice. She will be fondly remembered as a generous friend, a vibrant person who cared deeply for her family, and a faithful member of her church. She loved music and dancing & was a founding member of the Lakeside Country Cloggers.
No prior calling. Friends are invited to meet the family TUESDAY 11:00 AM at Blessed Kateri at Christ The King Church for her funeral mass. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester, 840 University Avenue, Rochester, NY 14607, or Holy Family Communications , WHIC. 6325 Sheridan Dr. Williamsville, NY 14221.
