Webster: Formally of Irondequoit. Sunday, August 28, 2011 at the age of 82. Pre-deceased by her husband, George F. Parcells; brother and sister in law, Norman & Eleanor Burgess; nephew, Gary Smith. She is survived by her children, Philip G. Parcells, Joyce(Jim) Kowba, Nancy(Jamie) Cunningham; grandchildren, Adam, Marie, David(Kelly) Parcells, Bryn Kowba, George Cunningham; great grandchildren, Noel & Mia Parcells; sister, Mary Lou(Bob Paradise) Koester; nephew, Richard(Debbie) Smith.
Phyllis was a volunteer at St. Ann's Home & RGH for over 24 years and was very active at Cherry Ridge, on the Resident Council & Cherry Chirpers. She also was a member of the Rochester Thistle Club. Phyllis taught in the Gates Chili, West Irondequoit and City School Districts for over 35 years. She loved to play golf, bridge and was a Girl Scout & Cub Scout den leader for many years. Most of all she loved her family and times spent together at the little cottage in Canandaigua.
Her family will receive friends SATURDAY 11:00am - 12:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South) where her memorial service will follow at 12:00pm. Interment private at Grove Place cemetery.
