Obituary of Diane G. Maher

MAHER, DIANE FRANCES Irondequoit: Age 81, Resident of Rochester passed away at her home in Irondequoit on April 23rd, 2012. Born in Brooklyn, NY to Alice Geraghty and Chris Frazetta, Diane moved to Rochester with her mother as a young girl and graduated from Mercy High School in 1948. She married her high school sweetheart Dave Maher on March 17th, 1951. Diane was a full time mother and is survived by her four sons Peter and wife Ellen of Maine, Steven and wife Rebecca of New Mexico, David and wife Rachel of Maine and Bill Maher of Rochester; four grandchildren, Kaitlin Maher, Michael Maher, Tyler Maher and Sam Maher; and a multitude of nieces and nephews. Diane was proceeded in death by her husband Dave Maher, mother Alice Geraghty and her sister Nancy Flanigan. Diane was an avid golfer and member of Lakeshore Country Club. She was active in the Lakeshore Women's Club for many years and volunteered regularly at Rochester General Hospital. She was a devoted mother and grandmother with many friends in the community. She will be greatly missed and is forever in our hearts. A memorial service and life celebration will be held at a later date.
