Merkel, Una C. Irondequoit. After a courageous battle with cancer Friday, March 13, 2009. Pre-deceased by her parents Earle and Ruth Merkel and brother Dennis. Ms. Merkel is survived by her sisters Earlene (George) Newton, Wanda (Charles) Cardillo, Gail (Richard) Heidt, Nancy (Joseph) Barone, Ann (Richard Boyan) Kirchner, Guy (Evelyn) Merkel, Thomas (Judith) Merkel, Bruce (Constance) Merkel, Lee (Sharon) Merkel, Gerald (Roberta) Merkel, many nieces & nephews. Una was a past employee of Johnson & Johnson, retiree of Eastman Kodak and very active at St. Andrews Church. Friends are invited to meet the family TUESDAY 10:00AM at LIGHT OF CHRIST PARISH AT ST. ANDREWS CHURCH for her funeral mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Andrews Church, 923 Portland Ave., Rochester, NY 14621
