Karr, Walter
Irondequoit: Friday, July 6, 2012 at the age of 98. Pre-deceased by his wife, Ewelina. He is survived by his son and daughter in law, Julian (Cynthia Roe) Karr; granddaughter, Sally Buchheimer. After the concentration camps in Siberia, Walter fought for the Polish and British Army during WWII. Walter having the skills as a tailor moved to England to raise his family. In 1955 he moved to the US to work as a tailor and then went to work and retire from Bausch and Lomb. A special thank you to all of his dedicated companions that took care of him so well.
His family will receive friends FRIDAY 11:00am - 1:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South), where a prayer service will follow 1:00pm. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. To share a memory or send the family a condolence, please visit www.harrisfuneralhome.com.
