Connie, Tim, Keith, Mackenzie: It was with much sadness that we heard the news of Gary's passing. Gary was Alexander's first baseball coach. Our family had only lived in Irondequoit for a couple of years, and didn't feel particularly attached to the community. Gary's encouragement of Alexander, and his invitation to me to help coach, was the first step in making us feel at home here. We will miss him. God bless him, and God be with your family. Marta and I wish our most sincere condolences to the entire family. Gary was a dear friend since childhood and will be missed greatly. Chasing racing and the Daytona parties will never be the same. Many great stories, many good times. Those memories will be cherished forever. In more recent days the discussions changed to the kids and how proud he was of them.
