Obituary of Joseph P. Schmidt

Schmidt, Joseph P. Williamson: Age 49. Saturday, March 30, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Lisa; parents, John And Nancy; siblings, Michael (Joyce), Mary (Steve) Miller, Cathy (Bob) Bills, Jeannie (Rich) Pini, Patty (Randy) Miller, Danny Schmidt; aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews, special friends. He adored his special Black Lab Luka and the family cats. He was employed by the NYS Department of Corrections, previously served in the National Guard and was a Gulf War Veteran. Joe was thankful to be able to spend quality time with his family and friends and enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting. His family will receive friends THURSDAY 4-7 at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South), where a short memorial service will be held at 7PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Lollypop Farm in his memory. A special Memorial Mass will be held Aprial 13th at 10:00 am at Peace of Christ Parish at St. James Church 130 Brett Rd. Irondequoit.
