I have fond memories of "Aunt" Gert as I grew up with her niece, Lee Roth. While our paths didn't cross often enough, I remember a gentle, kind woman with a contagious laugh. I have no doubt Lee welcomed her with open arms and they are now together at peace. God bless "Aunt" Gert.

My mom was a wonderful person. She was wonderful daughter to her parents ( Gertrude and John Kohl ), She was a wonderful sister to her sister Marie Roth, She was a wonderful wife to my dad, she was the best mom a son could ever ask for, And she was always very proud of her grandsons and great grandson.
Mom was a very generous and caring person who always worried about the wellbeing of her family. My mom lost her infant daughter Dianne a couple of years before I was born. I don’t think that she ever got over this loss and the memories of the tragedy consumed her with quiet grief for the rest of her life. Now I know why she worried so much about all of us.
Mom lead a very full and happy life that lasted 97 ½ years. Her life was blessed with several close friends and family members that were very dear to her heart.
I have many fond memories of mom over the years that included trips that we took during my childhood, the summers we enjoyed in the Adirondacks, her love and support in all my endeavors. And the way she fussed to make sure that all our holidays were special to all of us.
During the last few years of mom’s life her arthritis progressively got worse. She lost her ability to walk. She couldn’t reach for things and she became very depressed that she could no longer do things on her own. Her body had worn out and I watched her fade away. I promised mom years ago that I would take care of her the best that I could and I am comforted in knowing that I did my best. I owe a lot of gratitude to my Mom for all of her love, help and support over the years.
I love you Mom. Rest in Peace.
