Obituary of Gertrude F. Suess

Boynton Beach, FL : Passed away on April 25, 2013 at the age of 97. Born in Rochester, New -York. She is predeceased by her husband, Louis F. Suess and infant daughter, Dianne; niece, Leslie (Martin) VanDussen. She is survived by her loving sons, James (Janis) Suess and Mark (Monica) Suess; grandsons, William(Emily), Adam(Lisa), Eric, and Timothy Suess; great grandsons; Jayden and James Suess; her sister, Marie Roth and loving nieces; Laurel(Michael) Tarcinale & Roxanne Ziegler.
Gert was born in the Dutchtown neighborhood in Rochester to Gertrude & John Kohl. She attended Holy Family and St. Joseph's schools and worked at Bausch & Lomb where she met her husband Louis. Gert was a kind, gentle, caring and generous lady who was devoted to her family whom she cherished along with her sister, nieces and close friends. She had a great sense of humor, enjoyed dancing to big band music, and enjoyed many pinochle parties with her sister and friends. She also enjoyed oil painting and was a member of the St. Margaret Mary Alter Society for several years. Gert lead a very full and long life and will be greatly missed.
Calling hours will be held FRIDAY 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are invited to meet the family SATURDAY 10:00am at St. Kateri at St. Margaret Mary Church for her memorial mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
